Those in receipt of State Pension and many other benefits could see their payment date change next week.

The revised payment schedule comes as money needs to be sent on a day when offices, phone lines and online services were accessible to claimants.

The Spring bank holiday falls on Monday, May 26, meaning most payments due on that day will likely arrive on Friday, May 23.
The Mirror reports that the changes will impact people receiving the State Pension, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Universal Credit, Attendance Allowance and other benefits.
A full list of DWP, HMRC and Social Security Scotland payments that could be affected by the bank holiday can be found below.
However, those who were not due to be paid on the bank holiday will be paid as usual.
DWP payment date changes
Payments due to be made on Monday, May 26, are expected to be issued on Friday, May 23.
DWP has not yet confirmed changes to scheduled payments, but is expected to do so soon.
