She recounts how the messages had started and how they were brought to light in 2010 on sports website Deadspin. Going by their report, Brett Favre supposedly sent her text messages, voicemail, and even an explicit photo.Sterger claims she never authorized her messages to be disclosed but they were shared anyway. That is when everything went wrong for her. According to her, the media targeted her rather than the NFL superstar.“I was never treated like a person,” she explains in the documentary. Her voice cracks in one moment, while scenes are shown where TV presenters and supporters blame her rather than Brett Favre.

Jenn Sterger explains in the film that what shocked her most was that she and Brett Favre were never even in the same room. “I’ve never met him,” she says. “We’ve never shaken hands.” She says Favre first saw her from a distance in a tunnel at a Jets game and asked a team staff member for her number. She says that the staffer gave her number to Favre without asking her first.Subsequently, Sterger asserts Brett Favre started leaving her voicemails and eventually sent her an inappropriate photo. All of this in 2008, when they were both Jets players. The messages surfaced in 2010 and created a scandal that received massive media coverage.Brett Favre, now 55 years old, did not participate in the documentary. He has also denied any wrongdoing.
