Emmerdale fans are convinced that they know who really keyed Joe Tate’s car, after the smug villain was seen accusing his nemesis Billy Fletcher
Emmerdale fans are certain they’ve sussed out the true culprit behind the vandalism of Joe Tate’s car.
In the latest episode, viewers saw Billy Fletcher light up as Bob Hope presented him with keys to his new abode, signalling a fresh start for the well-liked character after a period of upheaval.
Billy’s been left devastated since Dawn Fletcher, his estranged wife, called time on their marriage following her affair with Joe Tate, who she’s now romantically involved with.
Understandably, Billy isn’t thrilled about Dawn’s new romance with Joe, particularly after Joe’s threatening behaviour towards their adoptive daughter Clemmie.
In a cringe-worthy scene on Tuesday, Billy was moving into his new place just as a smug Joe and Dawn strolled past, clearly in love, reports Leicestershire Live.
When Dawn heard Billy mention he needed to visit a second-hand furniture store because his new home was unfurnished, she suggested he could take what he needed from Home Farm’s outbuildings.
But Billy declined, preferring to accept Bob’s offer of some pre-loved items instead. After Joe tried to intervene, Billy snapped: “I’m here because of you, you’re not my mate!”.
Later, Joe was appalled to find his car had been scratched, with Dawn suggesting it was likely the work of mischievous kids.
Joe, however, immediately suspected Billy, citing his grudge and possession of a new set of keys, and warned that Billy needed to be taught a lesson in manners.
Social media was abuzz as viewers quickly pieced together the true villain, and it wasn’t Billy or adopted daughter Clemmie.
Fans are convinced Joe sabotaged his own car to frame Billy, further alienating him from Dawn. One viewer speculated: “So who scratched Joe’s car. Has he upset anyone recently..”
