CELTIC have bolstered their attack ahead of the new season with the arrival of Callum Osmand.
The highly-rated striker has joined the Hoops from Fulham.
Celtic have been keeping tabs on Osmand, 19, for some time.
Now, he’s become the Hoops’ fourth summer signing on a four-year contract at Parkhead.
They’ve already added Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan and Benjamin Nygren this summer.
He didn’t make a first team appearance for Fulham, but impressed for their under-21 side.
Osmand scored 10 goals in 17 appearances in Premier League 2 last season and also scored in the EFL Trophy.
His contract at Craven Cottage expired and the Celts have swooped to sign him.
Celtic will land Osmand for a nominal compensation fee.
After sealing his switch to Parkhead, Osmand revealed he spoke to Matt O’Riley about joining the Hoops.
O’Riley came through the youth ranks at Fulham himself before heading for MK Dons and then Celtic.
Osmand told Celtic TV: “It feels unbelievable to be here and I am so happy to be here. It is a big step for me, and I am excited to get going.
“It’s a massive move and I can’t wait to step out at Celtic Park in front of all the fans.
“When I spoke to the manager, he was really positive. The plan and pathway he has set out for the club is top, so it’s exciting with the pathway he has for me.
“He has set out what he wants from me, and it is all really positive, so I can’t wait to get going now.
“I’ve also spoken to Matt O’Riley on the phone, so he has given me advice. He was telling me about how big the club is, how amazing the fans are and it’s a new life really. So excited is definitely the word for me.”
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers added: “We are really pleased to bring Callum to Celtic. He is a highly-rated, talented young player.
“He has some real attributes. He’s a quick and powerful striker and I’m really looking forward to working with him. I’m sure he can be really successful with us.”
Born in Wales, he previously represented England at youth international level before switching to the country of his birth.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has already added Kieran Tierney ahead of a campaign that will see his side going for a fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.
Celtic’s frontline has been a man down since January when Kyogo Furuhashi moved to Rennes.
That transfer left Adam Idah as the only out-and-out centre-forward at the Hoops’ disposal, before Daizen Maeda burst into life.

Having played as a winger, Maeda established himself as a prolific central striker and was the undisputed first choice through the middle following Kyogo’s exit.
Osmand will also join Johnny Kenny on the roster of strikers at Parkhead, although Kenny himself is wanted by Bolton Wanderers.
