Coronation Street star Jane Danson has responded after Hollywood and Weatherfield combined to bring a moment of soap history to life.
The ITV soap and Superman wouldn’t be a combination fans would usually think of, but all that has changed ahead of James Gunn’s highly anticipated film coming to cinemas soon.
The cast are currently on a promotional tour, and have now used British icons Leanne, Toyah and Janice Battersby to promote their London visit.
In a video shared on the Superman Instagram account, film stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, and Superman himself David Corenswet could be seen confirming their upcoming visit to the UK to promote the new movie, with the premiere taking place on Wednesday (July 2).

They were sat in an office while miming the words to a scene from none other than Corrie from the early noughties. The scene itself showed Leanne on the phone to Toyah who said: “I’m in London!”
“London,” Leanne replied before turning to Janice and saying: “She’s in London!” In shock, Janice replied: “London!?” with the scene having gone viral over the years.
Responding to the Instagram post, Jane quipped: “Surely this should get me an invite to the premiere ??? LUNDUN! [crying laughing emoji].” Corrie itself also responded, simply writing: “LONDON?!” in the comments section.
And the reference didn’t go unnoticed by fans. A separate post from Warner Brothers, announcing that the Superman cast “are on their way to London…Yes, London” was also shared on X (formerly know as Twitter) as was also flooded with responses.
