Love Island have confirmed that All Stars will be returning in 2026 for an extended third series, which will see some fan-favourites back the villa.

The first series of the ITV dating show aired in January 2024 and saw exes Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish return to the villa, which of course sparked fireworks.

It’s a spin-off from the regular series of Love Island, and sees previous villa contestants enter the villa for a second shot at love.

The most recent series that aired this year saw Scott Thomas decide to depart the villa following his behaviour on-screen.

Scott was coupled up with Tina Stinnes but after she confronted him about his hot and cold behaviour, he admitted: “Something is holding me back from going to the next level…I want to give you that, but I can’t if I don’t fully feel it. You fully deserve that.”

As he spoke to host Maya Jama in the aftermath of his exit, Scott admitted: “The first time I did this show I had that instant connection with someone, and it made everything so much easier.” He was coupled up with Kady McDermott when they both appeared on the second series.

The second series of All Stars saw Gabby Allen and Case O’Gorman take the crown. They are reportedly still navigating their relationship outside the villa.

Now, ITV have confirmed that Love Island: All Stars will return for an extended third series on ITV2 and ITVX in 2026.

The news comes just as the regular series reaches its finale after serving up another year of drama. Harrison Solomon decided to leave before the final to pursue his connection with Lauren Wood.

Returning to scorching South Africa, the third All Stars series will launch in the new year and run for a bumper six weeks instead of five.

Love Island and Love Island: All Stars has proved to be one of ITV’s biggest shows for 16-34 audiences, having been the most popular show of the day amongst the demographic over 450 times. The show has also been streamed on ITVX over 2 billion times.

Mike Spencer-Hayter, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment, said: “Love Island: All Stars has quickly established itself as a stand-alone hit, keeping fans of the show gripped by iconic Islanders from the past 10 years returning for another chance to find love.

“We are very excited about series 3 and you can expect the twists and turns to continue in All Stars, after an incredible smash hit summer series.”

Amanda Stavri, Commissioning Editor, Reality at ITV added: “With over 2 billion streams, the Love Island brand continues to thrive, with our All Stars series fast becoming a staple in our reality schedule. We can’t wait to kick start our third series and set about bringing back some of the viewers’ favourite Islanders for another unmissable series.”
