Us
Auston Matthews took morning skate off, but is playing.
No changes likely for the Leafs beyond the in-game tinkering we saw last game. Pontus Holmberg will move up to line two at times, and the ice time of the two bottom-six lines will vary with circumstance.
It’s still Joe Woll’s net.

The Game
For the Florida Panthers, the situation they are in isn’t all that new. They’ve done the full run to the last game of the year twice now, and they have a better understanding than most of the Leafs players about how that feels and how you have to not get too high or too low on the ride to the finals.
The Leafs coach gets it. Chris Tanev is just naturally inclined to get it, and a few of the Leafs used to be Panthers. The Leafs will be emotionally able to handle what comes their way.
Beating Florida in their own rink is going to be hard, and the solution to it is to never stop aiming for a win. That’s not a guarantee – you can’t actually try your way to glory – but it’s still a necessary ingredient. There are no sure ways to win, just certain ways that lead to losing.
Go Leafs Go! And never stop.
