Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter could be in cahoots — at least according to fans. As Taylor seems to tease something big, fans are trying to connect the dots
As Taylor Swift fans continue their theories about a 12th studio album from the popstar, they’ve also roped in Sabrina Carpenter.
Taylor and Sabrina notoriously formed a close friendship with the Espresso singer opening the Eras Tour on select dates. While the pair have not yet collaborated on a song, fans predict that will change soon. After all, Taylor is no stranger to teaming up with younger artists as she worked on a song for Gracie Abrams previously.
Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, think they’ve cracked the code and speculated Taylor is teasing a new album. On this album, they believe, Sabrina, who has her own album coming out soon, will feature on a track. After all, with the rerecording era over, Taylor can now set her sights on new music.

The speculation centers around a particular moment during the Eras Tour when Taylor did a surprise song performance with Sabrina. Before the performance, Taylor pretended to ring up Sabrina, who was actually just backstage, and invite her to stop by for a song.
Ultimately, Sabrina appeared on stage where the pair performed Taylor’s track Is It Over Now? mashed up with Sabrina’s Espresso. Before their little duet, Taylor made another possible hint toward a collaboration. Speaking on the phone, Taylor told her, “Sabrina, is there any chance you could get off the rollercoaster you’re on and like put on some clothes and just like come down the stadium real quick?”
Recently, Sabrina posted on Instagram a photo of herself in front of a clothesline which featured various undergarments. She captioned the post, “Go put on some clothes!”
It only became more suspicious when Gigi Hadid left a comment. Gigi, a longtime friend of Taylor, wrote, “But daddy I have nothing to wear ! !”
While its unclear what she meant or if she knows anything about a potential new release, her comment did have a striking similarity to a song from Taylor’s album The Tortured Poets Department. One of the tracks was called But Daddy I Love Him.
Some fans also noticed the color of Taylor’s dress. She wore a bright orange piece, which mirrors the color Swifties think will be associated with the new album.
They’re convinced the album will be orange in nature after New Heights podcast teased a special guest for Wednesday’s episode, posting a thumbnail with a silhouette against an orange background. The silhouette matched a photo of Taylor perfectly, which wasn’t necessarily the odd part. However, 12 (yes, like 12th album) minutes later Taylor Nation, Taylor’s official social media team, posted a slew of photos of Taylor from the Eras Tour wearing orange.
When it comes to the Sabrina collab, the dress could unlock yet another hint. Toward the end of Taylor’s tour, her outfits got a revamp and, during that segment of the show, she wore all new dresses which featured a mashup of colors. However, for the New Orleans night 2 show, she brought the solid orange dress out of retirement, making it the only time an old ‘surprise song’ was dress was worn.
A fan on X explained, “btw i don’t know if anyone noticed but in all the shows of the final leg of the eras tour, taylor wore brand new multi-color dresses during SS, EXCEPT for Nola N2 where she wore orange sunset dress (ts12 color) from the EU leg, the same show where she brought out SABRINA!!!!!”
They added, “the show where she brought out sabrina was the only show in the US-CA leg where she brought back the 1 color surprise songs dress, and it was the orange one! TS12’s color! the easter eggs are really easter egging this time!”
